Protoform P2 - former Doug Voss and Bill Noble car (white #77).
Newish to me. Straight frame as received from Doug.
Comes with everything I have, including:
1. Two Noble national level engines. One of which has two weekends on it and Lisa said was one of the top five that has run through her shop. “This is a motor you drop in the car for the runoffs” per Lisa. The other is also a no compromises Noble motor with one weekend on it currently.
2. Short box in the car, short box spare drum to drum, short box full case with axles and tubes, long box drum to drum. All with the fancy drums from Bob Lybarger and lightweight axles.
3. Brand new front drums, bearings, and Porterfield shoes going on this week.
4. AIM Mychron gold and POV camera – not installed. Haven’t moved over from the yellow P2 (see #6 below).
5. At least three spare bodies. Three never mounted tails and noses and one never mounted body. Two extra used bodies, many used noses. Basically a trailer full of new and used fiberglass.
6. Old frame from my yellow P2 that I bent at NHMS. Could be straightened with a bit of work. Still has fire system, transponder, etc…I ran a 1:15.4 at NHMS in the yellow car. The white one has all the tweaks the yellow did and is lighter!
7. Spare beam, turkey legs galore, a stash of backing plates, drums, bearings, master cylinders, trailing arms, etc…Basically enough spares to make a new car or two.
This car and package has been prepped by Jon Vandecar for the last 4 years (one year on the white car and the previous years on the yellow car). This is a full no BS package with all the little tricks done to it that Jon and Noble have currently available to their customers. This isn’t a program that was pieced together on a budget. Hopefully the new driver will appreciate the little things like AP masters, NHBB rod ends, the two Pastore exhaust systems, Penske reds and Ohlins spares. The only thing holding this package back from being competitive at any level is driver talent and commitment.
Asking $17,500 or trade for equal value Spec Miata package. Will throw in cash for the right, proven SM set up (1999 or 2000).
Pictures to follow this week. Car and package can be seen in Massachusetts and at most NHMS SCCA events and all NARRC events. Looking to sell at the end of the 2014 race season, but willing to work with the right buyer at any time.
Please contact me through PM with any questions.
