I just received the first GPS Beacon for Mychron 3 and Mychron 4. I contracted GPT to manufacture these beacons so that they will interface with MyChron systems.. This beacon will work on Mychron systems with or without a CAN bus, replaces the infrared or magnetic timing pickup.
Ever forget to bring your beacon? Ever forget to pick it up? Somebody removed their beacon while you were out on the track? Not anymore!!!!
With the GPS Beacon, it’s a simple single button operation with a single multi color LED indicator. Push the button, unit will turn on, wait for a green flashing LED to indicate satellite reception, move the vehicle near edge of track, hold button till LED turns blue, release, position saved. Position will be saved in unit even after power off, until a new position is stored, so if returning to same track, no need to reset every time.
Pricing will be $175 per unit plus shipping.
