One term for our grid is "Wings and Things".....and since FF has no wings that makes FF a Thing......and always the Things are in the back of the qualifying field of FA FM FE FC FB FS and assorted other large budget cars...........but rain is the great equalizer!
This past weekend, on a very wet Daytona track, John in a DB6 FF took pole against a field of 18 other very good drivers and cars by over a second, many of the "Wings" can turn sub 2 minute laps in the dry, some can turn sub 1:55s. John's second fastest lap would have also been good enough for pole, so it was no fluke.
Imagine that.
