Hi Apex Speed experts, I need some expert help if possible. Our new forged aluminum calipers on our new F600 use an LD20 pad. The caliper was specifically designed for this pad because the pad is available in so many different compounds and it will package in our 10" diameter wheels as well as 13" wheels.
What I am trying to learn about is the available pad compounds and their various ratings etc. As our front rotors are small in diameter (8" diameter cast iron from Richard Pare) we need a very aggressive pad. our drivers particularly like a high initial bite.
Is there any info available that summarizes the various compounds available from various manufacturers and their effectiveness? I would also appreciate any advice from those of you that feel they can address my questions.
