Replacement windscreen

Hi

My PRS has a crack in the windscreen.

We repaired it last season with helicopter tape, but would like to do something more permanent.

I could sandwich the crack with smaller pieces of Lexan.

If so, what is the recommended glue to use to bond the repair?

The other option is to make a new windscreen.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a source for smoke Lexan?

Also, if you have done this with your car any recommendations for the best way to accomplish making a pattern?
