I just read that the German Gran Prix has been removed from the calendar.
The official F1 website doesn't say much, but BBC says the new owners of the Nurburgring don't want to pay the fees that Bernie s asking. Hockenheim isn't due for a race until 2016 and won't commit to the short notice......
While I'm disappointed that there will be one less race (maybe counters the fewer number of teams?), part of me is glad someone is stepping up and letting the organization it is too expensive and they have had enough...
Too bad Bernie has more money and lawyers and probably have a contract that the new owners will have to honor. He always gets paid in the end.
