Steve Burkett Race Admin worker of year

I just read the article In this months Sports Car magazine about Steve Burkett of Southern Il region being named Race Admin Worker of the year. What a well deserved honor and recognition. We race at Gateway where Steve and all the other St Louis & Southern Il members host regionals. I can say first hand that they set the gold standard for how race weekends should be conducted. Their hard work and dedication shows and one result is that we are holding the final Hoosier Series race of the year at Gateway in October. We will be bringing as many as 15 Formula First's to their Regional race from as far away as New York. National SCCA and struggling regions need to study how the folks do it there. They get it right! Thanks Steve!

ARRC Thread

Although I do not want to take anything away from the Runoffs, I believe those that are going to enter have done so.

I have been wondering who is going to the ARRC this year, as it has been expanded to four days. There is only one FB entry this year. I figure those running the Runoffs will wait until afterwards to enter.

National/Pro car of choice???

Hi all,

Whats the new Formula F car of choice for Nationals/Majors or the Pro 1600 series for next year? Considering to reload for next years runoffs at Daytona and the pro series. Mygales don't fit me. Spectrum? any major design change there? How about the new Piper? I see a couple are entered for this years Runoffs. Maybe the old Swift DB6/honda combination? What about the Citations? All thoughts appreciated! I missed the competition this year!

Thanks Wes Allen

what gives ???

which nameless volunteer(s) or member(s) of the establishment do we have to thank for this? what problem is being solved or is this an effort to reduce litigation exposure from different technical solutions? fans have been unrestricted since the FFord rules were first written. and now with no public discussion or comment, the rules are suddenly changed. batteries, wiring, switches, ducts, seals, fans, and heat exchanger(s) all take volume and weight to solve the heat transfer problem just like other approaches....

2014 Runoffs Data anlaysis/engineering help offered

Laguna Seca SCCA runoffs.. Looking to add customer who need some help in the data analysis/engineering/driving for the Runoffs. Doesn't matter the system, Aim, CDS, Motec, PI , Racepak, stack, Bosch, Magna Marelli.

Will be there for the two test days this weekend, Sept. 27 (open wheel), 28th (closed wheel)

And will be there for the entire week of the Runoffs.

Beyond Data help, I have engineered three cars that have track records here. The current lap record in GT-1 , is still held by Lew Larimer with a car I did chassis set up on.

On the driving end, there are a few things about Laguna Seca that if you know and understand, will make your fastest time possible. These are not obvious from the drivers seat.

If your interested please contact George Main, at 408.420.4024 cell or speedsense@sbcglobal.net or send me a PM here.
