No Hooning allowed !!!!!

All we really have is our vocabulary...........so I like to know words - their definitions and especially their origins and root words. The true meaning of words can be a powerful bit of knowledge that allows one to understand an aspect of life otherwise misunderstood or unappreciated.

While waiting at the parts desk of the local Ford dealer today to buy an air filter I flipped through a magazine all about Mustangs.........and learned a new word........

Are you a hooner ???

Or maybe it's that you hoon ????

I also learned that Australia has anti-hooning Laws.

Apparently the Australian Government doesn't want the latest Mustang option available down under......the Line-Lock.
You know......that feature that allows one to lock the front brakes and then 'burn-out' rear tires before the drag race. Well, that might be a form of hooning.

The Queensland Government says hooning, or antisocial behavior, includes any number of traffic offenses.....such as careless driving, dangerous driving, driving without reasonable consideration for other people, driving in a way that makes unnecessary noise or smoke, racing or conducting speed trials on a public road.

Hmmmmm.............

Notice this is April 2nd.........not April 1st.
