driving question

Hello everyone,

Im planning on running in FB for a few races as a way to continue racing untill i am able get back into a f1600 car. My main question here is do youthink it will hinder my preformane in f1600 to do so. Going from a FB/f1000 that has about the same power or more, but actual downforce. back down to a f1600 that has 0 downforce, less power. will that hurt my driving abiltity to drive a f1600 on the limit and fast. seeing how i would have spent a season driving with a car that has essentially more grip because of the aero. or should i just wait and driv the 1600 so im not use to the added grip.

ideas for radiator padding and teflon tape alternatives

I'm replacing my radiator in the DB-1, and found that it has been "padded" with what appears to have been standard window-and-door type stick-on foam insulation. Can't say it didn't work, as the radiator is at least 20 years old, but it's in pretty bad shape. Looks like it hasn't been doing much good for a long time. I was wondering if there is a better product available.

Second question is, what do you guys use instead of teflon tape, for brake lines, and water sensor inserts, etc? I am aware the tape has a risk of pieces breaking off and going places they aren't supposed to, although I've been lucky so far.

FF wheel identification

Can someone help me identify these wheels?

Thanks,

Jim

Lynx Main Body Section and Mold

Last one of a bunch of Lynx bodies I acquired and sold atleast 5 years ago. It must have been the nicest if I saved it for last. It was made before the side protection rules but is in decent condition without much paint or repairs. I also have the mold to make many more. I am moving and want to get rid of it before mid-January.

The price is a 30-pk of beer when you pick it up. I will not ship!

I am located about 15 minutes from the Niagara Falls border crossings, and 20 mins from the I-90 through Buffalo, so I may be "on the way" for some people traveling home for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Years. I will take the sawsall to it when I get tired of looking it.

Hewland Mk. 6 need help

I'm unable to remove the gears from the case; when sliding it out there is interference involving the reverse selector fork. With about 1" separation from the main gearbox case the reverse fork interferes with something, pulling in the selector shaft Any ideas to deal with this are welcome.
