Gearbox Maintenance - is there a "manual"?

Is there a manual or reference guide to working/maintaining these transmissions. I have done a lot of research on this forum to learn about what normal maintenance practices are, but I would say gearboxes are my Achilles heal in terms of knowledge....so when someone says to check tightness of xyz...Im left wondering what that means and how to properly do it :)



Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. See some of you this week at the Sprints!
