1984 Reynard formula continential

1984 Reynard Formula continental

The 1984 Reynard is a turn- key car and in excellent condition. The car has undergone updates and restoration which includes updated rear wing, 1986 rear axles and bearings and front suspension droop set up. I have all of the original body work and front and rear wings if you desire to return the car to original set up for historic racing. The car has only been run once in a short track day test since the restoration.

The car has just come off of a professional restoration of the body, with new DuPont paint and the frame has been reshot as well. The paint and color package is stunning and brings a lot of attention. The engine is strong and just received an inspection of the head by ARI racing and all new valve seals. Currently the engine registers a solid 182 pounds compression across all four cylinders. The suspension has recently received a complete digital set up including ride height set up. The car is very forgiving to drive and is well balanced.

Spares for the car include the following: all of the original body work for historic racing including rear and front wings, brand new spare racing belts, extra set of Goodyear tires (70% tread remaining) and current tires are Hoosiers with 70% remaining, extra set of aluminum wheels, misc engine parts, extra radiator side pods, and brand new brake pads, original Compomotive Turbo center cap for the three piece wheels, which are very hard to find, and a set of gears. These are the original wheels that the car came with from the factory.

The Reynard has an excellent racing history and was the National Championship winning car driven by British driver Jackson Yonge with trace engineer Adrian Reynard. The car has all of the log books from present back to 1985. Chassis number is F136 model, serial number 032605.

The car is an excellent example of an unmolested historic formula car which was popular in its day and remains one of the most desirable historic formula cars. To our knowledge there is no evidence of any major accidents or signs of patching in the frame; the frame looks original in all areas. The car is a solid, historical formula car to be used for historical venues or club racing or track days. I also have a nice flat bed trailer available with or without the car which tows super nice. The car is fairly priced at 8895.00. You won’t find a more solid, nicer car for the money. I have all pictures of the body work, paint process and receipts. contact through my email or feel free to call. jakshaw1952@comcast.net. 816-699-0330
