Conversion FC to FF

I'm a past Vee racer looking for a FF or a Club Ford in the New England area and have seen a few Formula Continentals for sale that seem reasonably priced.



Is it a crazy idea to purchase a Continental with the intention of converting it into a Formula Ford?



What would be involved if it is possible.
