What grit abrasive gives you the least resistance finish on cast iron, (head ports) ........ i.e. use 1000 grit finish, eyedrop water onto it at an incline, can be an old flywheel surface not a tilted head port, repeat with coarser grits until the water seems to flow quicker, no clinging, keep going until it may slow down ........ mechanical engineers may have a slightly keener test, and water is not air.
