Tach input with Electric distributor?

I know many run the standard bosch ignition, and some run the Pertronix.

I recently installed the Pertronix and ever since, my tach goes nuts after 5500rpm.

Everything worked fine when I had the old Points dist. in, just wondering If you guys know something I don't or maybe something is now incompatible?
