I have Penske gas shocks on a car I recently purchased and was wondering about an acceptable rate for leak down when in use and when sitting. Should they be checked between practise & qualifying and would you expect a pressure difference from the start of a 20 min. race to the finish? Should they maintain pressure when sitting and if not is it time for rebuilding them? In a perfect world I'd think that they would maintain their pressure but I have no experience with gas shocks.
