We are having a problem with what appears to be a miss fire on our 96 VD Pinto. When the car first comes out of a corner and onto a straight, there is a terrible balking and missing. However, as he goes farther down the straight the problem improves. Could this be:
A. Electrical/ignition problem
B. Fuel line problem
C. Both of the above
D. Neither of the above
E. Something else entirely
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Or is it possible he is in the wrong gear. In 3rd when he thinks he is in 1st/ in 4th when he thinks it's in 2nd. This is a distinct possibility, but would that produce what I described.
