The new Crossle Book

Not exactly sure where this post should be but as this heading is at the very top it seems likely to be seen by some folks.

I got my copy of the new Crossle book yesterday, I got it from Neil Porter, I had to have it pried from my hands last might at bed time, what a fantastic book.

Anyone who has or did or will own a Crossle of any class or type number , you owe it to yourself to get a copy and enjoy it and keep it in good condition as it is a seriously excellent book.

The author, Alan "Plum" Tyndall, is an Irishman who came over for the 40th at Rd America in 2009 accompanying then Crossle Cars owner Arnie Black and wife Mary, has put together a wonderful history of the longest continually in operation race car constructor in history.

Where his nickname "Plum" came from is sort of explained in the book, but not really.

Arnie Black has passed ownership of Crossle Cars to another Irish Crossle racer and enthusiast Paul McMorran who shows every likelihood of keeping the company marching along.

The company remains at it's home for all these years, literally attached to the late john and Rosemarys house where they raised their children and built the race cars in Northern Ireland outside Belfast.

With Johns sad passing recently this book will become a very real testimony to the man.

His daughter Caroline is still very involved in not just the book but as a Director of the Company as well.

I strongly recommend this book to any not just Crossle owner but anyone interested in our collective history as Johns first race car was built in 1957 and if you are unaware of the fantastic driver friendly cars produced over the years you are in for an education.

I obviously highly recommend this book for your history of the sport bookshelf.

Having had the privilege of knowing almost all the players in the Crossle story and having goner to the factory/home and shared beverages with John and Rosemary I can categorically say, you need this book......

Neil Porter is on Apexspeed and has some copies in stock, don't delay , get yours now !
