So I'm starting to shop for a FC but don't have access to enough of them to answer my question about fit. I had to install a taller main roll hoop on my Crossle CF to pass the broomstick test. I'm not all that tall, 6', but VERY long waisted, equivalent body height of someone 6'3 or so, and I DONT want to sit on the floor pan. 32 waist, 42 chest, so narrow bodied cars are not an issue, just fitting under the roll hoop. It was a relatively easy mod for a FF, but many FCs appear to have the main hoop as a more integral part of the chassis and bodywork.
I'm interested in an earlier car that would still be allowed in vintage wings and slicks, my club allows up to '97, but something I could still run Regional SCCA with and not be laughed off the track. Initial advice without regard to size from a fellow racer was a '94-'97 VD, a '87-'89 Reynard, or a '93+ Citation.
Input appreciated...
