Any expert out there who know what size (microns or nanometers) filter is necessary to filter out hydrocarbons from well water? My brother thinks that hydrocarbons have somehow gotten into the underground stream that the well is tapped into, and the state EPA ( for Maine) is starting to conduct tests, but it will be a few weeks before the results are known.
