:trophy_silver:ROUND #1:trophy_silver:

03/28/2016 - 20 Cars and Counting!! Before you ask, yes the entry list says 19, but I know someone who is slacking. Anyone check out that F1 car that is coming out, picture is on FaceBook? Can you say SWEEEEEETTTTT (CMS)

The Royale Formula Ford Challenge Series Sponsored by Hoosier will start Round 1 of the series on April 8-10 at Virginia International Raceway, with the 14th VDCA Wild Hare meeting. Using the full 3.27-mile course, this is a terrific track with great history, challenging slow and fast turns, the famous climbing esses, all in beautiful rolling countryside. If history is any guide, the Ford race will be closely fought.

VDCA always puts on a relaxed and fun show including:
  • The Wild Hare allcomers pursuit race, the last run on Friday (sign up required at Tech)
  • The Royale Formula Ford Cocktail Hour, Friday immediately after the end of racing (6 Hoosier FF tires will be raffled + a case of oil for the longest tow courtesy of Cloverleaf)
  • The Friday Wine & Cheese evening sponsored by SascoSports at their spectacular trackside workshop.
  • The VDCA Dinner at the track Saturday evening.

We have two 30 minutes sessions Friday + three sessions Saturday, one 20 minutes two 30 minutes (all shared with Group 5 & 7). The third Saturday session will be a split start race. Most important there will be the stand-alone Round 1 Royale Formula Ford Challenge Series race Sunday. There will also be a Royale Challenge Series group photo and awards presentation immediately after the Sunday Royale Challenge Series race.

If you have not had enough racing, Wait there is more .... You can run the 'Wild Hare' and an enduro Sunday morning, if you don’t mind running with fast and slow fendered cars. Don't forget the second points race for Group2/5/7 race on Sunday afternoon.

For those who can make it Thursday, entry to the track and registration is after 1 pm and tech opens at 1:30 pm, allowing a relaxed early set-up. Registration and tech will also be open 7-00am to 11-00am Friday.

The Green Flag has dropped and registration is open at:
