1984 Swift DB-1 for sale. Car is located in Copake, New York, half hour from Lime Rock.
Iron head Ford engine originally built by Sam Nelson, freshened by Arjay for races before the car was disassembled.
I last raced this car in 2009, then it was disassembled for a frame up rebuild. Stress cracks in the front of the frame that are common with this car were repaired, it was powder coated, and a new .190" aluminum belly pan was installed.
All of the suspension pieces were checked for straightness by ProTech and re--coated. One rocker arm and one A-arm were replaced.
All four brake calipers were rebuilt and re--plated by Porter Racing.
Uprights check for cracks and bearings replaced.
Rebuilt steering rack, new Momo steering wheel.
Carburetor rebuilt by Sam Nelson.
Fuel cell rebuilt and foam replaced.
Two sets of Panasport wheels.
Car is disassembled. Comes with quick Jack, chassis stands, engine stands, and a variety of other pit tools that go with the car. The car has a new SCCA logbook, along with the previous one that is almost full. I will also give the buyer the receipts for all of the work that I have had done to the car.
