Track radio scanner

I want to purchase a track radio scanner to keep up to date on the daily race schedule. I also want a scanner that will allow my crew chief to keep me informed on flags, restarts, etc while I am in the car. I was told that the Radio Shack scanner would do all this adequately. Does anyone know the best radio to buy?
