I am having a problem downshifting my 82 van dieman mk9. Selecting 1st & 2nd is very stiff and seems to hang up or stiffen up after the selector rod begins to move, before reaching the end of selector rod travel. Upshifting is OK, but downshifting from 3rd or 4th sometimes does not fully engage. The selector rod does not move to the end of its travel. With the transmission disassembled the shift fork moves smoothly and freely. Any thoughts?
