94 VD FC Coolant Capacity

I recently bought a 94 VanDiemen FC. Just flushed the entire cooling system in preparation for Winter storage.



Can someone tell me what the capacity of the cooling system complete with radiators should be?



Also, how do you check for proper fluid level during the racing season. I have always had a swirl pot or other such container to check the fluid levels on my earlier cars. Do you just fill it up and let it empty into the catch can? That is what I've been doing, but I'm sure there must be a better way???
