With great regrets I am selling my '97 Van Diemen FC. There just aren't enough guys up in Minneapolis running FC's these days. Hope to find this car and package a great home. My racing will now have to take place on the Dark Side... Spec racing...
The car was purchased from Scott Meehan @ Motorsport Services in 2010, and last run in Spring of 2013. You can watch me putz around here-> Video: http://ift.tt/Y4gdY1
Highlights:
Strong Ivey Motor (2.0L Pinto) - 9 weekends since rebuild
LD200 rebuilt by Scott Church (Geardaddies) 7 weekends
--12 gear sets that should have you covered anywhere you go
3 sets of magnesium wheels
--2 sets OZ, 1 set Techno Mags-w/ mounted F2000 rains
New Style Tilton Slave Cylinder
Shift linkage redrilled with new hardware, very tight
3-way Penskes
Lots of spare bodywork:
--4 noses in varying condition from good to fair
--Radiator trays
--Engine cover
--Front wing main plane
--Front end plates
--Rear wing mounts
--3 diffusers (1 good cond, 1 fair, 1 Gyrodanamics-fair)
Lots of spare suspension:
-Nearly all 4 corners, push-rods, axels, etc
-More springs than I can count
Indy style jack included
Car has fixed ARB's installed. I have the adjustable hardware.
Everything included with the car, with the exception of the transport wheels/tires - $600
The fiberglass and fasteners are fine, but could use some attention. The car is together and ready to run (needs new harnesses). There is plenty of spare bodywork and everything is in fine condition. I just don't want to advertise the bodywork as cherry. It drives amazing and has been really reliable and easy to run. The engine has great pull and it shifts like a dream.
This is the narrow style '97 (same as '98k). I've seen many discussions on this forum over the years about how big of a person can fit in the car. In my opinion, <6'1", 36" waist and 46" suit coat.
Priced to sell.
Email is the best way to get a hold of me. Car is in Minneapolis.
