1980 Crossle 40f Formula Ford - $20K. Currently raced in Club Ford with both vintage and SCCA. 2015 SFR SCCA CF Champ with no DNFs. 2014 VARA CF Champ. This car was converted from narrow-track to standard-track many years ago by a previous owner, control arms built with aero-tubing. Currently set-up for a tall, thin driver, but with just a seat pour and pedal adjustment, the Crossle can handle just about any shaped driver. 2013 - Fresh bodywork paint (Ferrari red), frame rebuilt with tall main hoop conversion (SCCA tech’ed and stamped), new fuel cell, fresh fire bottle, new FIA belts.
2014 - Loyning rebuild (#1346) on an Ivey SCCA-spec uprated Kent motor (forged crank/pistons, aluminum head, light flywheel). Loyning and Ivey engine dyno sheets available.
- Steering rack rebuilt by Porter Racing.
- New clutch. New oil lines.
2015 - Koni 8211 double-adjustable shocks rebuilt, new Hypercoil springs. Shock dyno sheets available.
- Hewland Mk9, dozens of gears.
- Annular hydraulic throw-out bearing
- 2 sets of polished, ribbed Revolution wheels wearing used ’15 ARs. 1 additional spare set of Revos.
- AIM system - digital dash and logger are currently removed but all sensors still hooked up. Currently running an all mechanical vintage-style dash. Race as-is or go digital in just a couple of hours.
- Bosch electronic ignition with rotor cap rev-limiter.
- Spare nose with matching paint.
- Quick disconnect Burns muffler
- Custom SFI EIS nomex-covered foam seat for tall, thin driver.
- Misc spares: battery, brake pads, oil filters, etc.
