In the early 1970s, Shankle was a quite popular Formula Ford engine builder in Southern California. They were at the forefront of FF technology and produced this air horn which bolts to the top of the Weber carb with no mods. They claimed that it made a couple of horsepower over a bare carb and sold them in good numbers. I never knew if the claim was true, but a lot of Super Suckers ended up on winning cars back then. If you are after the vintage look of early 70s cars, this is a great addition. And it might make you faster!
This particular Super Sucker is in good shape and needs only bead blasting and polishing to make it nice. One air horn has a bent lip which can be straightened easily. Once those things are done, it will be ready to go. These do not come up for sale often.
