Known history since new. Mark Pivac ran the car in 1984 with Tommy Byrne. Mike McHugh acquired the car late in 1984 and ran the car through 1988 in Pro SV events and SCCA Nationals. In 1987 the car was also ran periodically as a CSR and ran at the Runoffs as a CSR. The cars last race with Mike McHugh was at the Dallas Grand Prix in 1988 where the car was involved in an accident and the tub was damaged. Mike had purchased the Anson Company from Gary Anderson and this included a spare SA4 tub. Mike began assembling the car and had the front suspension attached along with most of the wiring was done. I purchased the car from Mike in 2007 and started assembling the car along with the engine. The car was completed in 2008 and driven first in 2009. The car has been in the low 1:15’s at Portland and finished third twice at the Portland Historics. Once behind Wade Carter and Dan Marvin and the other time behind an Ensign F1 and a Shadow F1.
