I pulling the oil pan off an older 2.0 this weekend as a pre purchase inspection.
I told the seller the price I pay for the engine depends on the rods and Pistons in the engine.
The queston is:
When only pulling the oil pan is there a simple way to Identify which brand rods are in an engine? I know Orignal Ford are easy but how do I tell if they are Oliver, Crower or Carillo or...?
From what I'm told the engine is a 2005 vintage built by Charlie Williams for a DB-5 sports racer run By Keith Williams.
