In the process of getting my 1982 Van Dieman ready to run, I removed the fuel cell bladder and cleaned I up. Once back in I noticed it leaking fuel from the bottom and found at least 3 cracks in the outer layer.
The cell was manufactured by Fuel Safe in 1991 and does not fit the way I would like but served the purpose for the previous owner.
Is this something that can or should be repaired? What are other using for a replacement and recommendation to install a new cell and seat? Is it recommended to use one with the bottom fuel outlet and aluminum welded box over the cell?
I'd like to see some photos of what others are using for a seat and fuel cell in a VD RF82.
Thanks - Jim
