failure risk?

I added this inline oil filter [large mesh], and have Push-Loc type hoseing at the top, and metal jacketed hose in the more at-risk lower end. I had to cut down the Push-Loc hose ends so they didn't touch on the short blue hose at the top, to leave some "flex" in the line. However, once in place and tight, the line is rigid enough to count as a structural support. I can move it by hand in the side-to-side / horizontal direction, but it doesn't have any free play at all in the up-down / verticle plance. I worry that the rigidity may lead to cracks or failure from vibration. Has anyone got any experience with this type of setup? Any known failures from this type of situation?
