Doing business in the UK -- determining legitimacy

Have any of you done FF parts business with persons or vendors in the UK? Do you know of reliable methods of determining anything about the legitimacy or integrity of sellers there? This is someone on Race-Cars.com and not someone on this Forum, unfortunately. However if some of you fellows in the UK have a notion as to what steps I might take in that direction, your help would be most appreciated.
