Scissor lift at the track

I was at the track this past weekend and saw a DIY scissor lift, I talked to the owner and he said that he made it from plans he got off this site. It was an electric winch with a strap, he was packed up before I had a chance to take any pic's and I tried to do a search but couldn't find the plans /drawings or any pic's of this. It had about a 2 foot lift and was a cool alternative to a gantry lift. Anyone have any info on these scissor lifts or a link to drawings or pic's of this type of lift?
