Truck Brake fitting adapters

My buddy is going to replace the rotted brake lines on his full size Chevy pick up with SS braided - 3 lines. Getting the hose is not too expensive, but the fittings to connect the AN hose ends to the normal inverted or double flare on all the female connections on the truck will cost almost a grand. Anyone have any suggestions for a less costly source?

SS braided is because one can only imagine the nightmare of bending all that hard line laying on the ground under the truck.
