Challenge Series Round #3

It’s almost time for the inaugural Bay of Quinte Grand Prix, featuring the DAC Trillium Trophy Races, July 18/19, at Shannonville Motorsport Park.

DAC has partnered with Move Motorsports Management and brought back the Shannonville date with a new name, new energy and increased level of fun.

For starters, based on competitor feedback, we will be racing the Pro Track configuration.
At registration competitors will receive an event t-shirt and grab bag with lots of cool samples. The weekend will also be full of prizes for each class of competition - announced in the coming weeks.

DAC is happy to welcome the Toyo Tires F1600 Championship along with their Quebec rivals as this is the 3rd round of the popular F1600 Super Series. F2000 Canada and Radical Canada Cup will be in attendance as well as the Miller Oils F1200 Series who will have stiff competition from many US entries as this will be a round of the Challenge Cup. The CASC GT Sprints will enjoy stretching their legs on the Pro Track layout and the GT Challenge will run their traditional one-hour race on the Saturday. The VARAC Vintage Historics will also be there to put on a great show.

The DAC event has always been known for the fantastic Saturday evening dinner and that will return without a doubt. Additionally, we can all keep bench racing at the Saturday night drivers party in downtown Belleville and keep the party going.

For fans we have added professional commentator Pat Gonsalves on the play-by-play with DAC member Rick Creuzberg adding the colour commentary. Some popular food trucks from the region will be there to enhance the experience for fans as well.

There is a show-and-shine on the Sunday for German marques (so if you own one bring it along,) a vendor alley with automotive themed displays and a host of vendors showcasing the diverse Prince Edward County, Bay of Quinte and Great Waterway region.

Competitors will have a driver, plus 6 crew members allowance as per all CASC events, but it should be noted tickets are being sold to locals and fans. Early registration will also get you 4 complimentary passes to the event for family and friends. All CASC licensed holders will get access to the facility whether you are entered or not. For further questions do not hesitate to contact Jason Sharpe at 416-557-5451.

We are really looking forward to hosting an excellent motorsport experience and can’t wait to see you all there!
