AIM Mychron XG Log pinouts

Okay, AIM is rightfully proud of their sensors, and obviously would prefer that everyone use them. One downside to this is that the pinouts in the users manual are somewhat less than useful. I'm starting the install on one in my Miata, and I plan to pick up a few of the stock sensors (water temperature/oil pressure). I'd prefer not to add new sensors to the system where they're not actually necessary as I don't think I can out engineer Mazda on this.

I know the typical 4 pin connectors are analog signal, ground, Vbattery and Vreference. The first two are obvious. The voltage lines are where I run into problems. Since this system is really designed for stand alone sensors I assume these are voltage sources not sinks, although I don't know that for a fact (I could see either being used as a comparative voltage). If I had to guess Vbattery is a 12v output and Vreference is a 3.3/5v regulated signal?

Right now my assumption is that all I need for my purpose is the analog and grounds. Is this correct? Is there a good technical data sheet anywhere?
