MZR in older Cars?

I know the Zetec won't fit in older chassis (VD and Swift?) without alot of modifications (well I assume this)

Has anyone thought much it would take to fit the MZR in the older frames?

I'm sure this will bring either no response from anyone,
or this will be the next sign of the Apocalypse.

Just wondering if anyone has ever gotten out a tape measure or a CAD file to check.



FYI My position on other things-

Keep the 4-speed H-pattern (paddles are for disciplining children)
Not one Zetec I've heard sounds better than my Pinto on the track
