I guess I missed the big announcement. Googled SCCA today and what popped up was a topic that shows that the SCCA is a subsidiary of Saks - as in Saks 5th Avenue.
One has to wonder, what possible purpose did the club have in selling to a retail conglomerate? I've often said the SCCA is not truly a club, and I think this proves it.
At some time in the future the shareholders are going to want to see growth, and racing is not much of a growth industry.
I guess I was surprised because I never saw anything in the automotive press or on this site. When did this take place?
