I started road racing a 98 FF vandiemen last season and I had a lot of fun at SCCA majors and regionals, BUT with a daughter in college my racing budget has been compromised. I would like to do some local auto x events to fill in the weekends. I don't want to make an auto x specific car, but would like some input on what I might do, that's easy, because I'm lazy, to go back and forth between road race and autoX.
Gearing is obvious, but what gears (or range of gears) would I use for auto X.
Would I toe out the rear tires? That worked a long time ago in a previous street car. If so how much?
