Hello all. I have been working with Swift Fuels in Lafayette, IN and they have been provided me with a few gallons of several specific blends of their base fuel with the intent of entering the motorsports world (they are an aviation fuel supplier). They have a blend of fuel they have specifically made for us (100 octane 0E and SCCA legal) that has very similar hp on the dyno than Sunoco 260 GTX in my FE but perhaps $1-2 less a gallon. Anybody have any ideas I can offer them as far as getting their foot in the door. They are currently competing with Shell to offer the next generation of aviation fuels to replace the 100LL and plan on expanding into our neck of the woods so I thought I'd give them as warm a welcome as possible to help keep good fuel costs down. Remember, the feds are supposedly going to allow up to 15% ethanol into pump gas which will all but entirely remove pumps gas as a possible source of fuel for most of us racers...
I called a few local tracks but have found a lot of them have the same supplier now that they had 20 years ago. I can understand the relationship this offers them but perhaps some tracks don't have this relationship? They can deliver from 5 gallons up to 10,000 gallons.
I am making zero money off of this just in case a question of intent arises. Just looking towards the future of racing fuels and think a little competition can't hurt the current prices I've seen lately.
