Dist. hold down bolt question

I've had the mystery bolt syndrome, where you have the bolt and then you don't and its new location is a mystery.

What size bolt holds the dist. to the block, looks like a fine thread 1/4" but this size doesn't want to start and I don't want to mess the threads up. Is it a metric or imperial thread? Anybody have the bolt spec's.
