Just heard through Karen Arutunoff that Denise McCluggage passed away today.
She was publisher and editor of Competition Press (later Autoweek), was one of the pioneers of women racing drivers and sports writers. She started racing an MG TC in club events in the early 50's. A Jag XK-140 followed and raced professionaly. She won the GT Category in 1961 in a Ferrari 250GT. She won her class in the Monte Carlo Rally in 1964.
She was an excellent photographer and writer for both motorsports and skiing.
