Dabbling in the F2000 Series

Last year I had hoped to get the opportunity to join the field at the F2000 weekend at Mid Ohio in July. If it weren't for an engine failure right at the start of the season that might have just happened. So this year I'm going to try it again. Aside from spectating and driving some touring plans I've never had the pleasure of saying that I was apart of a Pro Racing weekend. With a little bit of help from the wonderful members here at Apex I hope I can turn one weekend into multiples.



I'll be going into this wholly outgunned. I wrench myself, engineer the car myself, drive it, plus it's got a Pinto in it but I really want to say that I gave it a shot. I started late in the sport and when most of the young hot shoes are trying to break into the big series like Indy and NASCAR I was just getting my feet wet. Until just a couple years ago I didn't even realize I could jump into the fray.



Champion Spark Plugs hosts an annual video contest with sponsorship money at stake to the finalists. My brother is a budding videographer and put this video for my entry.
