First off let me say that sometimes life and work get in the way. Hard to believe that my last post was 2012. I miss the racing community and the people involved.
I was contacted by a friend to help him sell this car. I will tell you what I know and what I have personally looked at on the car.
This car was bought in 1999 by World Speed and ran in the series until 2001 (I believe Case Montgomery) Car was bought to run reginal races in 2002 with a New Hasselgren pro built engine #9010. I do not know how many races where run from 2002-2004. I do know the last race the car was in was 2004 Nelson Ledges. I also know the previous owner fell sick sometime before 2004 and his last race was 2004. The car has sat in a heated garage since 2004. We have made the phone calls to find out what we can of the history on this car and engine. We have also taken all body panels off and looked car over closely. The widow had said she could remember the car coming home after the last race and being prepped for the next race and the next race never came.
I have made a small list of pro's and con's of this car(accurate to what I have been told and seen for myself)
Con's:
*unsure of time on engine from 2002 - 2004 (no log book)
*No gear spares not sure what the widow had done with them.
*Needs updated belts and fire system
Pro's:
*No major crash damage to tube (spoke to World Speed to confirm)
*Very Little time on car and engine due to it sitting for 10 years
*Leak down on engine is less than 3%
*3 sets of wheels
*2 sets of tunnels
* PI computer system
*Small spares package unsure of everything in the boxes
*Trans looks good and functional(carbon clutch looks to have very little wear)
*Engine sounds great ( ran on stand after changing oil and priming system)
*Car is very clean with no signs of rust on anything.
$39000.00 takes complete car and all the spares we have.
