Steering rack

I have removed the steering rack from the car as I am now down to a bare chassis. While I wait for the chassis to be refinished I am working on the component parts.



I wanted to know what I should use to repack the rack, grease? Oil? Also noted a set screw in the top that seems to control the friction on the rack. Any suggestions on how much pressure should be applied to this???



I did not plan on this major renovation but now that I am at it I want to get everything sorted.....
