It has come time to replace it as evidenced by lots of coffee grounds in the filter.
Neveer having done one with a true pick up in it (hose extending down to the bottom of the cell from a top mounted port), I am wondering if it is wise / necessary to have an open "well" (cut a void in the foam) around the end of the hose.
The two I have done in the past simply had nipples molded into the bladder at the bottom rear that a fitting was clamped into.
My concern is the need to have a volume of fuel unrestricted by the foam around the end of the pick up hose.
