Sleeves vs a new Kent block

Engine man says I need new sleeves in my Kent, $800 parts and labor. A new Ford block is $1300 delivered, and spending the extra $500 seems like an easy decision, but I understand the new block doesn't come completely ready to assemble. Could you give me an idea of what additional work/costs I might expect with a new block to get it to that point.
