Ford 2737E connecting rod cores (4)

four Ford 2737E connecting rod cores recently removed from a donor street engine, $200 plus shipping from 93555. ideal cores for someone needing a new set of rods for a FFord engine (Kent or Cortina); no previous "attempts" at preparation by an unknown shop/competitor, no unknown service life (competition hours), and no unknown "use" (over rev's). forging flash on the beams should be polished away, the fastener seat checked for square to the installed centerline (corrected if required), and the radius of the fastener seats increased and polished prior to having the cores shot peened by a professional service. if any pin end ligthening or machining for pin end oiling is to be done (see previous post by author), it should also be done prior to shot peening. the fastener seat radius on the ferrous Carrillo rods I now use is 0.125". small end and large end sizing as-well-as the straightness check should be done after shot peening. even my 2-liter Pinto Cosworth rods, massive compared to 2737E rods, required resizing on both ends after being shot peened !!
