Max Gs; or should I even ask?

I have not routinely seen more than 1.5 g on my CDS, other than a blip at 1.8 in Hog-pens once. I notice guys using AIM run routinely in the 2-2.3 range. I think I am getting pretty close to what the car has, as I regularly exceed the traction limit, and as I am sliding backwards I have to wonder, is it my setup, my skills [likely], my car, or is my G force measuring devise calibrated differently from AIM's? Anyone else experiencing this? Are the newer cars that much grippier than an 84 Swift DB-1?
