I think this car would be a formidable package for SCCA B-Mod or for its originally intended purpose a Nationally competitive DSR (P1-P2 car). The car started life as the prototype DSR "Kokopelli" designed by Chris Bernard. The car was sold to Bob Gelles (Formula Atlantic, Formula BMW, Champ Car, Team Owner) who set out to make a no expense spared project powered by a snowmobile engine. He had his Atlantic crew chief re-engineer the car with many well thought out modifications. There were many "one-off" parts utilized including but not limited to a proto type Micro Belmont CVT, custom Magnesium cased mini quick change, rear suspension (independent) copied from a late model Van Diemen F2000. To make this a competitive car. The car showed well at times, but teething problems kept it out of the limelight. The sister car did well in the hands of David Lapham winning a few Nationals in his region. As with all race cars there has been a lot of money thrown at the car in the past two years ($40,000.00) and it still sits in one of the premier vintage Can Am restoration shops in Sonoma. The car has a fresh "Crankshop / McCoy" 800 Rotax Triple putting out an honest 180 hp. Full carbon fiber body, triple adjustable Penske’s just to name a few. The car has suspension jigs and full body molds. I will entertain selling this car due to space needed for another race car purchase. $22000.00 (Firm) Eric / esakuma@aol.com
